The UC San Diego Labor Center launched as a new academic and public-facing institution focused on labor research, policy, and worker power across the region. I was brought on to develop the Center’s foundational visual identity and a flexible design system that could support both scholarly work and movement-oriented public engagement ahead of its November launch.

Highlights:

  • Worked with key leaders to develop a distinct visual identity

  • Designed a core visual system adaptable to research publications, events, and organizing materials

  • Built reusable templates for policy briefs, reports, and social media (including Canva-based toolkits for easy internal use)

  • Created launch-ready graphics for events, signage, Zoom backgrounds, and digital promotions
